and our Chief Executive Officer, Joni Whelan, after they received the prestigious SKIPPY award.

The SKIPPY award is given to recipients for a lifetime of dedication of helping individuals and families affected by the disease of addiction.

Joni has been honored as the New Jersey Task Force on Woman & Addiction - Woman of the Year and was the 1996 recipient of the New Jersey Child Abuse Prevention Award.

In June, 2007 Joni received the "Pioneer" Award from Rowan University Center for Addiction Studies in recognition of her pioneering work "in all areas of Substance Abuse Treatment, Prevention and Education"

Sister Anne Winkelmann, Chief Clinical Officer

Honored for helping individuals with substance abuse problems, recently was awarded the Dennis Mansmann Memorial Award.

The honor was presented by the Division of Addictions Services of the State of New Jersey during the ATP Conference held in Atlantic City, New Jersey in April 2006. For the past 24 years, Sister Anne has also been a retreat leader for recovering men and women, adult children of alcoholics, and couples from Connecticut to as far south as Florida. She is also experienced with children of alcoholics, adolescents, women, victims of incest and co-dependency. She has opened and supervised various inpatient and outpatient programs throughout New Jersey and is a member of the congregation assistance core team for the Diocese of Camden.

In November 2006, Sister Anne Winkelmann was the recipient of The Prodigal House Foundation Service Award in recognition of her Spirit of Generosity in giving of her time and selfless dedication to all who suffer from additions.
